Moving into a New Season - New Decade

Moving into a New Season - New Decade
Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!
Luke 1:45

As we move into this new decade I am reminded about the number 10 and what it means. Number ten deals with coming full circle, as well as fresh starts. Some of us have come full circle and some need a fresh new start. Ten also represents fulfillment, attainment, and completion. Other words that come to mind are Still Fresh, Not previously experienced or encountered, Different from the former. How has the past 10 years been for you? What are you expecting in the next 10? I know some of the time has been testing times, happy times and times of doubt and fear, but God continues to be faithful and His word never changes. We may change and we may doubt, but He never changes. Are you ready for your fresh new season?

Take a minute to remember all that He has done for you in the past 10 years. He is a mighty God and His promises are true. Many of the things that I prayed for have come forth. Some of the things I had to wait many years for. I have to remind myself daily that His timing is perfect. Ten years ago Roland Jr was 10. He is now 18 and preparing for college in 2010. God has blessed him and continues to reveal more and more to him about his calling and destiny. As parents we may want one thing for our children but God knows best. Allow Him to guide and direct. As I release him into his new season God give me the strength to allow you to lead and guide. What does God have in-store for you in this new season? Are you ready to allow Him to guide and direct?

It has been already pointed out that ten is one of the perfect numbers, and signifies the perfection of Divine order. Let us get in Gods divine order for our lives in this new season. Allow Him to lead and guide and watch the amazing things He does in our lives.  I am excited and looking forward to this new season.

In this New Season Let Go and Let God!

Let Go and Let God

As Children Bring Their Broken Toys
With Tears For Us To Mend

I Brought My Broken Dreams To God,
Because He Is My Friend

But Then Instead Of Leaving Him
In Peace To Work Alone,

I Hung Around And Tried To Help,
With Ways That Were My Own

At Last, I Snatched Them Back Again
And Cried, "How Can You Be So Slow?"

"My Child" He Said, "What Could I Do?
 You Never Did Let Go!"

  1. As we look back on 2009, it’s easy to recognize a year of transition. A new President, a faltering economy with many folks losing their jobs, and the entire country immobilized to rigidity in what might be viewed as “survival mode”. All of this has been quite predictable, however, if viewed from the perspective of global leveling, brought on by 30 years or more of outsourcing to foreign countries, in the attempt to do whatever it takes for organizations to save money. As the economies of third world countries begin to rise with increased capitalization and labor utilization, the leading economies of the world are drained to the same degree, creating the process of global leveling. This process, unfortunately, is a very painful one for those of us at the top in the U.S., Western Europe and Japan, as we feel our way into a new, but depressed, standard of living.

While we can recognize that this may be mankind’s reality, there is also God’s reality and to this we cling for our daily bread and sustenance. For me and my house, mankind’s reality has been superimposed into the background as we see the Hand of God at work in our lives. Important events have included a visit to Africa with a newfound mission for life and helping others, the visit of a King to middle Tennessee, and others that could not have happened without God! Think of all the miracles we experienced over the year… windows that opened when doors were closed, wonderful, previously unmet, people who joined the cause and shared our vision for God’s work; people who are now, much loved, friends.

As we enter 2010 (MMX in Roman numerals), let’s all continue to fast and pray, maintaining thereby a heightened sense of expectancy for God’s continued blessing and increased abundance and prosperity! Heavenly Father, we ask for increase in every area of our lives… increase that will in turn allow us to continue your work in this world. In Jeremiah 33:10-11, the Bible says,

This is what the Lord says: You say about this place, “It is a desolate waste, without men or animals.” Yet in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are deserted, inhabited by neither mean nor animals (our current economy), there will be heard once more the sounds of joy and gladness (economic revival), the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord, saying,
“Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good: his love endures forever”. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before, says the Lord.

For me and my house, we will continue to serve the Lord and expect the blessings of God as they arrive in MMX! God Bless you and keep you… increasing your ability to serve and live a life of prosperity in this new year for his mercies are new every morning!
