Be a Leader Who Can Admit Mistakes
Being a leader doesn’t mean that you’re always right or that you won’t make a mistake.
What being a leader does mean is admitting the reasons for why you did something and then making yourself accountable for the results—even if those you’re accountable to don’t directly work for you.
Go with the Flow
When mistakes happen go with the flow and don’t try to ignore or dodge the mistakes. When we confront mistakes it is better than trying to blame others or hide from them.
People are quick to Judge
When mistakes are made, be careful not to allow your response to be negative and critical. Provide support and encouragement to the person so that they can move forward. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES! Some of us just happen to do it in the public eye.
No amount of analysis can replace your confidence in yourself. When you've made a mistake, especially a visible one that impacts other people, it's natural to question your ability to perform next time. But you must get past your doubts. The best you can do is study the past, practice for the situations you expect, and get back in the game. Many other smart, capable well-meaning people have made similar mistakes to the one you made, and went on to many successes, in the future.
